This 210 mm Chef knife operates within the FireForge Tier 3 laminated construction level.

It integrates a hardened 10Cr15CoMoV stainless core within a disciplined 67-layer architecture, providing controlled edge retention and structural reliability for consistent daily preparation.

This tier represents refined conventional stainless performance within the FireForge portfolio.

Engineering and Materials

The cutting core is manufactured from 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel.

This alloy provides:

  • Balanced edge retention

  • Corrosion resistance

  • Stable sharpening behaviour

  • Structural reliability under regular kitchen use

Heat treatment stabilises hardness at 60 ±2 HRC.

Cutting performance is defined exclusively by the core steel.

The blade is clad within a 67-layer laminated stainless architecture.

These outer layers:

  • Protect the core

  • Reinforce structural stability

  • Contribute to corrosion resistance

They do not increase cutting retention.

Blade thickness is 2.5 mm, supporting rigidity and stability during controlled chopping and slicing.

Manufacturing Process

The blade undergoes controlled heat treatment to ensure uniform hardness distribution and dimensional stability.

Post-treatment tempering reduces internal stress and stabilises edge behaviour.

Precision grinding establishes symmetrical geometry across the blade.

Final edge geometry is ground to approximately 15° per side.
