This 210 mm Chef knife operates within the FireForge Tier 3 laminated construction level.

It integrates a hardened 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel core within a disciplined 67-layer laminated architecture, providing reliable cutting performance and structural stability for daily kitchen preparation.

This tier represents refined conventional stainless steel performance within the FireForge portfolio.

Engineering and Materials

The cutting core is manufactured from 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel.

This alloy provides:

  • Balanced edge retention

  • Corrosion resistance

  • Stable sharpening behaviour

  • Structural reliability under regular use

Heat treatment stabilises hardness at 60–62 HRC.

Cutting behaviour is defined exclusively by the core steel.

The blade is clad within a 67-layer laminated stainless structure.

These outer layers:

  • Protect the hardened core

  • Reinforce structural stability

  • Improve corrosion resistance

They do not increase cutting retention.

Blade thickness is 2.2 mm, supporting controlled slicing and stable board contact.

Manufacturing Process

The blade undergoes controlled heat treatment to ensure uniform hardness distribution and dimensional stability.

Post-treatment tempering reduces internal stress and stabilises edge behaviour.

Precision grinding establishes symmetrical blade geometry.

Final edge geometry is ground to approximately 15° per side.

The blade surface is refined to maintain smooth food contact while preserving durability during daily use.
