Retro Tricolour Collection — 5-Piece Architectural Culinary Set
This five-piece set represents the complete architectural expression of the FireForge Retro Tricolour Series. Each knife shares identical multimetal construction, ensuring visual coherence and material continuity across the collection.
Designed for refined domestic and professional environments, the set emphasises structural craftsmanship and layered metal architecture alongside functional usability.
Engineering and Materials
All blades incorporate a 12Cr18MoV stainless steel core, heat-treated to approximately 60 ±2 HRC. This provides corrosion resistance, stable edge behaviour and controlled maintenance requirements.
Each blade is clad with a 37-layer tricolour laminated structure composed of brass, purple copper and 316L stainless steel. The external layers create architectural depth and visual contrast while preserving the functional role of the stainless core.
Copper and brass elements may develop natural patina over time, contributing to evolving character.
The edge geometry across the set is finished at approximately 15° per side.
Manufacturing Process
Multimetal lamination integrates core and outer layers under controlled forging conditions. After heat treatment, each blade undergoes surface refinement and polishing to reveal the tricolour layered composition.
The octagonal handle profile combines figured sycamore and padauk burl, providing directional control and structural balance.
Functional Use
Included in the set:
-
Chef Knife 210 mm
-
Santoku
-
Bread Knife (serrated)
-
Utility Knife 5″
-
Utility Knife 4″
Together, they cover general preparation, slicing, serrated cutting and precision tasks.
